I have an apartment in a 27 year old building. It’s not great but nice inside, 2 BDRM 950 sqft. Top floor corner unit, bought for $205k last Feb.
Downstairs guy on 2nd floor is listing his 2 BDRM + den for $305k (1050 sqft).. has already received multiple offers.
Considering that top floor has a premium over 2nd floor, let’s for arguments sake say the apartments are equivalent despite his having a den.
What the fucking fuck would cause an apartment to go up 50% in value in a year?????
How are all the young people going to be able to afford a place? This was my first place, bought at age 37. If the market doesn’t stabilize, I’ll be stuck with it.
